BBFNZ Master Mason Scheme

The Master Mason scheme is being introduced by the Brick and Blocklayers Federation (BBFNZ) as a means of identifying building practitioners who consistently meet industry standards of professionalism and competency.

From 1 June 2018 Brick and Blocklayers who were previously assessed by the Masonry Trades Registration Board (MTRB) are able to apply to have their previous registration recognised under the Master Mason Scheme.

An assessment and registration process for building practitioners who have not been previously assessed by MTRB will open later in 2018.
